Stormwater Drainage West Auckland
Every litre your gutters collect has to end up somewhere, and in most urban areas that somewhere is the public stormwater network. Good stormwater drainage in West Auckland relies on the path from downpipe to drain: risers, underground pipes, inspection points and the connection to the council system. If any part of it is blocked, broken or undersized, water backs up at the surface. In heavy rain that can mean ponding against foundations, soggy lawns, water under the house or overflow onto a neighbour's property.
We look after the above-ground side of stormwater: gutters, downpipes, rain heads, risers and the fittings that connect them. Drainlaying is regulated work in New Zealand, so any underground pipework, new connections or changes to the council stormwater system are carried out by or with a licensed drainlayer, with the approvals Auckland Council requires. We coordinate that work so you have one point of contact from the roof down to the drain.
Drainage problems often show up first as gutter problems: downpipes that bubble at the base, gutters that overflow even when they're clean, or ground beside the house that never dries out. If you're adding a downpipe, building an extension or dealing with a blocked riser, we'll trace the issue back to its source. For new or relocated pipes, see our downpipe installation service.
